Q&A: Can an Insinkerator instant hot water dispenser be hooked up to a reverse osmosis filter?
Question by JimJ: Can an Insinkerator instant hot water dispenser be hooked up to a reverse osmosis filter?
Any plumbers out there that can answer this question? Please no guesses! Thanks!
I’m wondering can an Insinkerator instant hot water dispenser be hooked up to a reverse osmosis filter? I have a WaterCare Reverse Osmosis system and was thinking of getting an Insinkerator instant hot water dispenser. But I didn’t want to hook it up just to the cold water line. I could but would be much better to the filter.
Thanks!

as long as the filter is installed BEFORE the water heater (i.e. water line goes to the filter first, then feeds the heater) there shouldn’t be a problem. you may have to find a special fitting or two to convert the outlet of the filter to the inlet of the heater, but your local plumbing supply/hardware store should have what you need.
